The Bridge, Questions of Travel, Saunter, and KnowPublished in 2008, The Bridge explores ideas and themes that have already been touched upon in previous Douglas Hyde Gallery publications, including the bread and butter stone, Patmos, and 33 Happy Moments. But although it is not meant to be conclusive, this publication is a full reflection of the thoughts and feelings that have formed the background to the choice of exhibitions for the Gallery's recent exhibition programme.
Questions of Travel, published in 2009, is similar to The Bridge in that it brings together images and ideas in a fluid and intuitive way; there is a thread - or perhaps a tone, a mood - that connects them, but it may not be immediately apparent.
Published in 2010, Saunter is a companion to Questions of Travel. It engages with similar ideas, albeit from a different perspective, and interweaves them with images of work that has already been shown in the Gallery's recent exhibitions.
A new book, documenting the Gallery's 2011 exhibition programme, was published in 2012. Entitled Know, it is in the same format as The Bridge, Questions of Travel, and Saunter.
