Does the Leaving Certificate need to be reformed? What system could replace it? Liam Wegimont, Principal at Mount Temple Comprehensive School and Chair and Co-Founder of Global Education Network Europe, will host a panel discussion addressing these questions with representatives from key Irish educational bodies.

Along with Liam Wegimont, we look forward to hearing insights from the following people:

Clive Byrne, Director, National Association of Principals and Deputies, NAPD
Aine O’Sullivan, Assistant General Secretary, Association of Secondary Schools, ACCS
Sarah Harte, President, Irish Second Level Students Union, ISSU
Irene Stone, Teacher, St Marks Community School, Tallaght

The discussion will take place in the context of Garrett Phelan’s radical project FREE THOUGHT FM, a 30-day live broadcast of conversations in the Gallery between the artist, invited FREE THINKERS and members of the public. These conversations opened up the critical and often hidden issues of class inequality and inequality of access to education in the Dublin region.

All are welcome, admission is free, and there is no need to book a place.
