& Ain't Saint John

We are very pleased to announce that Lisa O'Neill will be performing in the Douglas Hyde Gallery on March 27. Following on from the success of concerts by Cat Power, Sufjan Stevens, Nina Nastasia, Jandek, and Josephine Foster, Irish folk artist Lisa O'Neill will be the next singer-songwriter to play in the Gallery's unique and intimate atmosphere.
Highly regarded for her distinctive blend of traditional stylings with witty and incongruous observations on modern life, her live performances are both cheerful and visceral. For that reason, the current exhibition of large, forceful, and defiant paintings by Rose Wylie will provide a fitting backdrop. Having released two well-acclaimed albums in recent years, Lisa O'Neill is currently working on a third, which we very much look forward to hearing.
We also look forward to welcoming Ain't Saint John, the Wexford-born singer, songwriter and piano player, chosen by Lisa O'Neill as her support act. His debut EP Grow Yourself was released last year, a mix of folk and Americana inspired in no small part by the natural beauty of his childhood home looking out over the Saltee Islands.
Tickets for this concert have sold out - 24/03/15.
