The Paradise [13]
Erik and Paul Andriesse
24 October - 19 December 2003
In this series of exhibitions, artists make a selection of work that reflects their idea of 'The Paradise'.
Paradise: [1] an enclosed garden [2] the garden of Eden [3] a place of bliss, felicity, or delight [4] heaven
This exhibition marks the work of two brothers from the Netherlands. Erik, who died in 1993, was a well-known painter, especially of natural things; his canvases and drawings have recently been show in two major exhibitions in Holland. Paul's photographs have been widely seen in his own country; a book of his images Ipsamas, was published last year. He is also highly regarded as a gallerist.
