The Paradise [21]
Ansuya Blom
12 August - 29 September 2005
In this series of exhibitions, artists make a selection of work that reflects their idea of 'The Paradise'.
Paradise: [1] an enclosed garden [2] the garden of Eden [3] a place of bliss, felicity, or delight [4] heaven
In 1995 Ansuya Blom held and exhibition at the Douglas Hyde Gallery that comprised paintings, film, drawing and scripture. On this occasion she is showing a new film entitled Nervous, which is based on a short story by the Swiss writer Robert Walser. Shot in monochrome, it is a sensitive and intense meditation on the nature of anxiety.
