The Paradise [8]
Wolfgang Laib
02 August - 18 September 2002
In this series of exhibitions, artists make a selection of work that reflects their idea of 'The Paradise'.
Paradise: [1] an enclosed garden [2] the garden of Eden [3] a place of bliss, felicity, or delight [4] heaven
A decade ago, Wolfgang Laib made one of the most singular and beautiful exhibitions in The Douglas Hyde Gallery's recent history - a solitary square of pine pollen set in the middle of the concrete floor.
For The Paradise project, the artist has chosen to show a small jar of hazelnut pollen.
A publication documenting the first ten exhibitions in The Paradise series is available.
