Once described as 'The longest-running, weirdest, loneliest enigma in popular music', Jandek is the stage name of an anonymous musician from Houston, Texas, who has made over fifty albums of emotionally fraught blues-based songs. All of them have been produced and distributed by Corwood Industries, who appear to have published no other music.   As oddly compelling as Jandek's music, the images on the album sleeves and CD covers are bleak and deeply ambivalent.
