Once described as 'The longest-running, weirdest, loneliest enigma in popular music', Jandek is the stage name of an anonymous musician from Houston, Texas, who has made over fifty albums of emotionally fraught blues-based songs. All of them have been produced and distributed by Corwood Industries, who appear to have published no other music.

As oddly compelling as Jandek's music, the images on the album sleeves and CD covers are bleak and deeply ambivalent. They will be exhibited in Gallery 2, and the exhibition will be accompanied by a publication containing two essays on the artist and his work by Lars Iyer and John Hutchinson.

Jandek will give a rare performance in the Gallery on Friday, June 13, at 8 pm. 100 tickets are available at 20 each from the Gallery and Road Records.
